Restricted activity order: Felt-soled wading boots prohibited

What: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the Canadian National Parks Act General Regulations, felt-soled wading boots are prohibited in Kootenay and Yoho National Parks:
Where: Kootenay and Yoho National Parks
Why: To reduce the potential spread of aquatic invasive species.
Penalty: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
