Winter Hiking & Snowshoeing (Yoho National Park of Canada)

Avalanche risk! When travelling beyond the marked trails, or past an avalanche danger sign, assume that you are in avalanche country - your group should be prepared with the appropriate knowledge, skills and equipment. For more information on winter travel and how to stay safe in the mountains, visit parksmountainsafety.ca In order to prevent the spread of whirling disease, it is prohibited to enter, approach or remain within 3m of any waterbody in Yoho National Park.

Moderate Sherbrooke Lake Trail See comment section 16-02-2024: Parking for Sherbrooke Lake is now located at the Great Divide Lodge, 400m east of the Sherbrooke Lake day use area. Parking is limited and visitors should have a backup plan in case the lot is full when they arrive. Cross-country ski trails (Yoho National Park of Canada)

General conditions: Recent tracksetting: Feb 23 - Kicking Horse Fireroad; Classic Emerald; Alluvial Fan Loop; Tally-Ho/Old Ski Hill; Emerald Connector. Feb 21 - Great Divide (west end access closed. Maintained east of archway only). Feb 14 - Yoho Valley Road.
