What to bring
Yoho National Park
The weather in Yoho National Park is pleasant, but can change rapidly. Average daytime highs from May to September range from 16° to 23° Celsius with overnight dropping as low as zero. Come prepared and you’ll have a great time.

- axe or hatchet (to make kindling from firewood)
- screened eating shelter (optional: to avoid insects)
Clothing
- clothes (bring various layers, including sweaters and insulated layers to help you dress for the weather)
- waterproof clothing (jackets and pants)
- hats and mitts or gloves
- hiking boots and camp shoes (sandals or runners)
Personal gear
- flashlight or headlamps with extra batteries
- water bottle
- sunglasses and sunscreen
- insect repellent
- toiletries
- towel
- hand sanitizer
- camera! (no drones, please)
Cooking
Always plan ahead and bring a camp stove, BBQ, or similar cooking appliance. Not all campsites provide fire pits for cooking, and fire restrictions or bans may be introduced on short notice. When a fire ban is in place, cooking over a campfire and charcoal briquette BBQs are not allowed.
