Educational and guided tours

Situated on a beautiful wooded property near the heart of Kitchener, Woodside National Historic Site offers a unique window into the Victorian traditions of the early 20th century. Picnic tables and public restrooms are available on site.

Guided tour: A Day in the Life at Woodside

Mackenzie King recalled the years his family spent at their home at Woodside as some of the happiest of his life. Take a step back in time to 1891 for a special tour of the King family residence in Victorian Ontario. This enhanced, small-group experience includes a guided 'behind the rope' tour of Woodside as well as access to artifacts dating from the late-19th century.

• Guided tours can be booked for up to 10 visitors max.
• Visitors can book in advance (preferred), or come to the site and request a same-day tour. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and can be requested by email at woodsideontario@pc.gc.ca.

Interested in booking a visit for your school group or tour group? Please email woodsideontario@pc.gc.ca with the size of your group, and the date of your request. 

• Bookings must be made at least one week in advance. Please allow up to three business days for a booking confirmation to be sent to you. Note that submitting an inquiry does not imply a confirmation.
