Guided tours and education programs
The Site offers a variety of tours that can accommodate each visitor's interests. Individual daily tours include your choice of a guided tour of the historical Powerhouse Building, the Emergency Swing Dam, the Superintendent’s Residence or any combination of the three. A general site tour composed of all the individual tours is also available upon request. Each tour includes a walk through Visitor Centre and a detailed explanation of how the recreational lock functions.
Please come and join us for a guided tour, a self-guided walk of the site, or a hike or stroll on the Attikamek Trail.
Visitor centre
You will find our Visitor Centre and exhibit space in the Stores Building and Blacksmith’s Shop. Here you will find a gift shop, maps and other information to ensure you have a enjoyable visit. Our friendly staff are available to answer any questions you may have!
Observation deck
