  • Canada Day at Fort Anne and Port-Royal

    Cost: Celebrate Canada Day with FREE ADMISSION!

    Canada Day at Fort Anne – 12 pm to 3 pm

    Engage all your senses - sing “O Canada'' as you watch the flag raised at Town Hall; join Parks Canada’s mascot, Parka the beaver, in the procession to the fort; savour a piece of cake; and listen to the Annapolis Basin Community Band, weather permitting.

    Canada Day at Port-Royal – 1 pm to 3 pm

    Festivities continue at Port-Royal with cake served in the afternoon.

  • Massed Band concert at Fort Anne

    As part of Annapolis Royal’s Band Fest, bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of fine music.

  • Day of Commemoration of the Great Upheaval at Fort Anne

    Every year, this ceremony brings the community together to honour the memory of those who went through the ordeal of the Great Upheaval. Through symbolic gestures and moments of contemplation, we will revive collective memory together and highlight the importance of shared memories.   • Encampment Days on Natal Day weekend at Fort Anne

    Location(s): Fort Anne National Historic Site

    Friday, August 1 (evening) to Sunday, August 3 (noon)

    Stroll around the encampment of the 84th Regiment of Foot 2nd Battalion (Royal Highland Emigrants) and enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of black powder musketry, outdoor cooking, and life in an 18th century military camp.

    Saturday, August 2, from 2 pm to 3 pm (weather permitting)

    A tactical battle features 18th century military techniques.

  • Fireworks at Fort Anne

    Come early, lay down your blanket and settle in on the scenic grounds. Take in the wondrous open sky and watch Annapolis Royal’s magical fireworks display.

  • Natal Day at Fort Anne

    Time: 12:30 PM - 02:30 PM
    Location(s): Fort Anne National Historic Site

    Visit Annapolis Royal for the annual Natal Day Parade starting at 1 pm.

    After the parade, join us in Fort Anne’s parking lot to take a closer look at the handiwork involved in creating these colourful displays. Who will be this year’s float winners? Don’t miss the excitement!
