Birthday party themes

Gold fever birthday party

Imagine you are a gold prospector during the 1858 Fraser River Gold Rush. Put on a gold miner's hat, sign a gold license, and head out to the gold panning station to see if you can strike it rich!

• Includes all-day site admission.
• One-hour party includes the following guided activities with Parks Canada interpreter:
  • Try on old-fashioned dress up clothes.
  • Build a house and carry your supplies. 
  • Watch a blacksmithing demonstration.
  • Sign a gold license and pan for gold.
• Optional bonfire (roasting sticks provided; bring your own food)

High tea birthday party

Imagine your child and her friends having a fancy high tea in the Victorian setting of Mrs. Newton’s parlour in Fort Langley’s Big House. Nibble a spread of delightful high tea goodies.

• Includes all-day site admission.
• One-hour party includes the following activities with Parks Canada interpreter:
  • High tea refreshments by Little White House Salon Café
  • Optional bonfire after program (roasting sticks provided; bring your own food)
• Use of Big House parlour for the high tea

• Weekends: 1:30 pm

• Optimum group size: 6-8 children (minimum 6 required).
• Admission for adult chaperones is complimentary. The unique room used for this party theme is small. Please limit the number of adults to four or less. Additional adults can explore the site or village.

Add-on features

Sleep over

For the ultimate birthday party, pair any of the parties above with a sleepover in our oTENTiks. Here are the details:

• Choose any of our birthday party themes above, and contact us at least two weeks in advance to see if accommodations are available (May to Thanksgiving). The guided portion of the party will run from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
• Each oTENTik accommodates six people. Calculate how many guests will be sleeping over, in order to reserve the correct number of oTENTiks. 
• Call 604-513-4799 to discuss coordinating a birthday party with a sleepover.
