    Celebrate International Biodiversity Day!

    From shorelines to skies—celebrate nature with Parks Canada and local organizations.

    Join us for guided bird walks, tidepool exploration, and plenty of fun activities for all ages.

    Scheduled activities:

    • 11:00 am Event Start – Land acknowledgement and Lekwungen Dancers perform at the Garry Oak Learning Meadow.
    • 11:30 am to 12:00 pm First bird walk, by the Special Bird Service. 
    • 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm Second bird walk, by the Special Bird Service. 
    • Ongoing programming by Parks Canada Interpreters from 11 am to 3 pm.
    • Ongoing activities by local organizations from 11 am to 3 pm.
    • Site and historic buildings are open from 10 am to 4:30pm.

    There isn’t a better backdrop than Fisgard Lighthouse to celebrate Canada Day.
    Join us for a festive day featuring live music, historic weapons demonstrations, the best summer heritage and nature programs, interactive community booths, and grilled and chilled treats. Mark the day with your annual family picture by Canada’s giant flag at Fisgard Lighthouse.
