Ukkusiksalik National Park
Due to the extremely high density of polar bears in Ukkusiksalik, visitors are required to be accompanied by a qualified bear guard when entering the park. All guides, outfitters and tour companies must have a current national park business license to transport visitors in the park.
Transportation to and from Ukkusiksalik National Park can be arranged with a licensed outfitter. Outfitters can take you to the park by boat from mid-July to October. The trip takes approximately 7 hours from Naujaat. Snowmobile excursions may also be available in spring. Charter flights can be arranged with an airline.
If you prefer to travel in a guided group, book your trip with a tour company. Tour companies often arrange flights, accommodations, ground transportation and meals.
