Local guides and outfitters
Quttinirpaaq National Park
Guides, outfitters and tour companies are required to have a current national park business license to take visitors into the park. Always check with Quttinirpaaq National Park staff to ensure your operator is licensed before booking your trip.
Your group should have advanced skills in wilderness first aid and be prepared to handle any medical, wildlife or weather related emergency. If someone in your group is uncertain about their skill level, consider travelling with an experienced guide, outfitter or tour company.
Local outfitters
Resolute and Grise Fiord are too far from Quttinirpaaq National Park for local outfitters to transport visitors to the park. However, local outfitters may be available to take visitors out on the land near the community. Exceptional examples of high arctic wildlife, culture and history are easily reached within a day of the community. Contact the hamlet office in Resolute or Grise Fiord for details about the local outfitters.
Tour companies
If you prefer to travel in a guided group, book your trip with a tour company. Tour companies often arrange flights, accommodations, ground transportation and meals.
