Giant Cedars Boardwalk

Trailhead: 30 km east of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway.

Set among towering cedar trees, some over 500 years old, the trail winds up through the old-growth forest and back down to where you started.

Benches are provided so you can relax and breathe in the serene forest atmosphere.

Picnic area: 28 km east of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway.

Exploring the wetland at Skunk Cabbage Day Use Area is a much-loved experience for visitors and locals alike. The boardwalk has been rerouted and repaired after flood damage, and visitors can enjoy an out-and-back route through the wetlands with stops at three viewing platforms overlooking the valley and the Illecillewaet River. Look and listen for diverse plants, amphibians and birds at this riverside picnic area.
