AREA CLOSED:

All Parks Canada land on Sidney Island. Mooring buoys will remain open, however there will be no visitor access to the beaches, day use areas, or washrooms.

DURATION OF CLOSURE:

Until February 28, 2022.

REASON:

All Parks Canada land on Sidney Island will be closed for public safety reasons to facilitate hunting by First Nations during this time period.

AUTHORITY:

Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the area is closed to all public traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent, Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada:
