Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

PROHIBITED ACTIVITY ORDER: Cabbage Island Campground and day-use

Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following activities are hereby prohibited by order of the Superintendent, Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada:

Camping and recreational day-use on Cabbage Island from April 15th, 2025 until further notice

For the purpose of this order, “camping” means to occupy, reside on or camp on, or erect or use any structure on Cabbage Island at any time, and includes sleeping in the open air. Visitation of Cabbage Island is limited to accessing the outhouse facility and to pay moorage fees.

The purpose of this order is to protect the natural and cultural resources of the park.

Contravention of this order may result in fines or prosecution pursuant to the Canada National Parks Act.
