What:

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

Where:

In Jasper National Park, Snaring and Celestine Lake Roads and surrounding area, including both Snaring and Snaring Overflow Campgrounds.

Please refer to the closure map for a graphic description of the area.

Why:

For the safety of visitors and the public during fire operations.

Penalty:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
