Area closure: Pyramid Bench – wildfire operations

What: Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent for fire operations.
Where: In Jasper National Park, Pyramid Bench lake trails, 2, sections of 3 and 3h, 3 (f, g, i), 8 (b, c, e, f, g) and parking lot P4 at Cottonwood Slough.
Please refer to the closure map for a graphic description of the area.
Why: For the safety of visitors and the public during wildfire operations.
Penalty: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
