What

Pursuant to subsection 7(1) of the Canadian National Parks Act General Regulations, the following activity is restrcited or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:

Felt-soled wading boots are prohibited.

Where

Includes all areas within Jasper National Park.

Why

To reduce the potential spread of aquatic invasive species, in particular, whirling disease.

Penalty

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
