What:

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent in order to conduct construction activities related to the Caribou Conservation Breeding Centre:

Where:

ln Jasper National Park in an area approximately 81 hectares in size, west and east of Geraldine Road, and southwest of Wabasso Road (93A), as delineated on the attached map.

Note:

The Geraldine Road is not part of the area closure, and is subject to a related Restricted Activity Order.

Why:

To ensure public safety during construction of the Caribou Conservation Breeding Centre.

Penalty:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
