WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: The Dormer Valley from the trail junction of the Dormer Pass trail and Stoney Pass trail to the eastern boundary of Banff National Park; the Panther Valley from Windy Cabin to the eastern boundary of Banff National Park; Elkhorn Summit and both east and west shortcut trails.

WHY: To ensure public safety during prescribed fire operations

PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty  $25 000.
