RESTRICTED ACTIVITY -West Sulphur Wildfire Risk Reduction Project

RESTRICTED ACTIVITY
WHAT: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:
Travel is restricted to designated trails adjacent to the West Sulphur Wildfire Risk Reduction Project indicated on the attached map.
All users must stay on designated trails.
WHERE: The West Sulphur Wildfire Risk Reduction Project area
WHY: To protect visitors from potential windthrow from recent logging activities. To allow vegetation to re-establish during the physical restoration of the West Sulphur Wildfire Risk Reduction Project area.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty is $25,000.
