WHAT: Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE:
Area 1- The area between Mountain Avenue and the Valleyview Trail (west) and Sharon’s Roller Coaster Trail (east). All official trails remain open outside of the closure – as shown on the attached map.
Area 2 - The area south of Mountain Avenue beginning 500 meters downhill from the Rimrock Hotel and extending 1 kilometer along the road – as shown on the
attached map.
Area 3 – The small area near the Town of Banff pumphouse with debris piles.

WHY: For the safety of visitors and the public during debris piling, chipping and burning operations and road reclamation.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
