Cascade Valley

WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following trail is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

                                                                
WHERE: The area closure includes the Cascade Valley from the Cascade Bridge Campground (Cr6; open) to Flint’s Park Campground (Cr31; open) and from Elk Summit Campground (Ek13; open) up to and including Stoney Creek Campground (Cr15; closed).

WHY: To ensure public safety during prescribed fire operations
PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty   

$25 000.
