WHAT: Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, Nigel Pass Trail is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent. 

WHY: To ensure public safety during wildfire operations.

WHERE: Banff National Park, Nigel Pass Trail.

Note: Parker Ridge Trail closure rescinded, effective August 9, 2024.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
