Permanent exhibition: A time to remember, a world to discover
A Time to Remember, a World to Discover
The Canadian government decided to commemorate Sir Wilfrid Laurier on his family's property and to use the site to recreate the environment he grew up in. To get the most out of your visit, make your first stop at the interpretation centre, which features an exhibit on the highlights of his career and life.
From the centre, head directly to the historic house next door; as soon as you step inside, you will be entering another era. Decorated with more than 600 pieces of period furniture and antique objects, this charming residence reproduces the interior of a mid-19th century country home. Outside, the old-style vegetable garden will surely stimulate the curiosity of all gardeners.
