Overnight mooring

Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site

During your journey on the Richelieu River, treat yourself to a stop by mooring overnight at the wharves available upstream and downstream from the Saint-Ours Canal lock, some twenty kilometres south of Sorel. Among other things, you will be able to take advantage of the grassy beauty of Darvard Island to stroll around and enjoy nature. No reservations required, it's first come, first served!

Docking area

Several overnight mooring spots are available at the lock at the Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site. After exploring Darvard Island and the Vianney-Legendre fish passage, stop by the restaurant across the way.

Important

  • Mooring in the blue area (waiting zone for the next lock passage) during operating hours is prohibited.
  • Mooring is permitted for a maximum of 48 consecutive hours (please consult the lock operators to extend your stay).
  • Generators are permitted during daytime hours only (from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.).
