Visit to Fort No.1

The last in a series of three detached forts, Fort No. 1 attests to the remarkable technological innovations of the time.

Step inside the casemates, originally designed to house soldiers, and visit our permanent exhibition to learn more about the history of the fort and its military strategies.

Be sure to explore the trails surrounding the fort, and climb to the top to admire the Armstrong canon and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view.
