Join us at Bellevue House National Historic Site for a season of discovery, creativity and connection. Our events calendar features a variety of engaging and educational activities, including hands-on workshops, demonstrations and special guest presentations that bring history to life. With new themes and speakers throughout the season, there are always fresh opportunities to learn, explore and connect with the stories that shape our community.

  • Unpacking Macdonald

    Curious about Canada’s first prime minister and why there are diverse perspectives about his legacy?

    Join the conversation about Sir John A. Macdonald’s life and legacy as you participate in thought provoking discussions that you will remember beyond your visit to Bellevue House. 

    May 16 to September 7: Daily at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm when the site is open.

    Participate in this “Amazing Race”-style activity as you prepare for an 1840s Victorian garden party. Experience life as a cook, a maid -of-all-work, or an upper-class lady.  At the end, enjoy your own homemade garden tea and shortbread cookies.
