The pingos are surrounded by water. To experience them firsthand, hire a local operator to navigate you through the countless channels that lead to the boardwalk. The boardwalk was constructed to provide visitors with an opportunity to experience the pingos up close while protecting the delicate vegetation and permafrost active layer.
Remember:
- Walking on the pingos themselves (from the base upwards to the summit) is prohibited from April 15 to October 31.
