Riel House National Historic Site
Accessible facilities
Both entrances to the historic house are at-level with a wooden boardwalk leading to the door. There is one step inside the house between the kitchen and the living area of the house.
Check-in tent
There is a check-in tent near the picnic area where visitors can learn more about the site, arrange a tour, or purchase a souvenir. Kids can also pick up an Xplorer booklet.
Parking
Riel House has a visitor parking lot located on site. Parking is free of charge for visitors to the site. Visitors should be prepared to walk up to 100 metres from the parking lot to the house on concrete, a brick path and a gravel path.
Picnic Area
Riel House has picnic tables near the entrance to the site. Enjoy the space with friends and family, but please practice leave-no-trace guidelines to ensure others can enjoy the space afterwards.
Restrooms
There are two single-stall gender-neutral public washrooms. Please note that they are only open during opening hours of the operating season.
