Program Length: Approximately two hours
Maximum Capacity: 35 Students
Description: The interdependent relationship of the local Carrier and the HBC Fur Traders is an integral part of the history here at Fort St. James. This program allows students to listen to and learn from one of the local Carrier elders. The students will also have an opportunity to play historic First Nations games and to live like a fur trader. The activities that they will be doing are:
- Learning from an elder
- Spending Time at the Hide Tanning Shed
- Playing traditional Lahal (First Nations Game)
- Inventorying furs
- Historic Games
