Available positions
Interpretation
Lead interactive tours, perform heritage demonstrations, and share the site’s diverse cultural history with visitors.
Curatorial
Help catalog historic artifacts and install new exhibits that bring our history to life.
Maintenance
Gain hands-on experience in groundskeeping, facility repairs, safety inspections, and problem solving.
Who can apply
You must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years old
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status
- Be a student enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited academic institution
General information
- Employment period: May to September 2026
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 or 40 hours per week)
- Location: Fort Langley, BC
- Pay rate: $23.07/hour
(Pay may increase based on education and Parks Canada experience)

Assets (Not Required)
Basic experience in the following areas is an asset but not mandatory:
Interpretation
- Heritage crafts (e.g., embroidery, woodworking)
- Gardening
- Supporting large public events
Curatorial
- Research
- Archives
- Photography
- Cleaning and collections care
Maintenance
- Landscaping
- Using hand and/or power tools
Operational requirements
Applicants must be willing to:
- Wear the appropriate Parks Canada uniform and safety equipment (including steel-toed boots)
- Follow all safety procedures
- Work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, overtime, and statutory/provincial holidays
- Work a flexible schedule to meet program delivery needs
- Travel and work in various terrain and weather conditions for extended periods
- Perform physical tasks related to the job (e.g., lifting up to 20 kg)
- Obtain additional certifications as required

- Reliability security clearance (done at time of hiring)
