Performance management : 2026-2027 Beginning of cycle

Dear colleagues,

The 2026-2027 Performance Management Cycle is now launched for all team members. The start of the Cycle is the perfect opportunity to set work objectives, clarify performance expectations, and discuss learning and professional development needs, including career aspirations.

All performance agreements and learning plans must be established by June 30. Putting them in place early in the Cycle allows for a clear foundation, timely alignment of priorities, and regular, constructive check-ins throughout the year.

Steps to be completed by June 30:

    • Establish clear work objectives aligned with priorities.
    • Review competencies and expected behaviours.
    • Develop a learning plan that supports development and career aspirations.

For seasonal employees:
If your employment period differs from the regular schedule, your performance agreement should still be signed as soon as possible. Visit the seasonal employees ParksNet’s page for more information.

Resources
The Performance Management ParksNet’s pages provide a wealth of resources and tools to help you through each step of the process. I also invite you to participate in the available information sessions or to watch previous learning sessions as part of the Performance & talent management learning series page.

Do you still have unanswered questions or would like to discuss a specific situation? Contact the Performance and Talent Management team. They are here to help and will be happy to support you every step of the way.

Thank you,

Rawan El-Komos
