Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce the following changes to the PCX community within the Finance Directorate, effective March 26, 2026:

  • Claren Motokado will transition to the role of Special Advisor to the Vice-President, Finance.
  • Raffi Bedrossian accepted a deployment to the position of Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Corporate Resource Management.

Please join me in congratulating Claren and in extending a warm welcome to Raffi to Parks Canada. We wish them both every success in their roles.

Claren Motokado – Special Advisor to the Vice-President, Finance

Claren is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in financial management. Since March 2021, she has served as Deputy Chief Financial and Executive Director, Corporate Resource Management, where she provided oversight of strategic financial planning, resource management, costing, and advisory services that empower the organization to deliver results with transparency and accountability.

Claren holds a degree in Commerce with a specialization in Financial Accounting from the University of Alberta and is a legacy Chartered Accountant, with CPA designations in both Canada and the United States of America.

 

Raffi Bedrossian – Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Corporate Resource Management

Raffi Bedrossian began his federal public service career in 2007. He joins Parks Canada from the Canada Border Services Agency where he served as Director General, providing executive oversight for one of the Government of Canada’s largest modernization initiatives. In this capacity, he ensured strong financial controls, risk management, and enterprise alignment across a multi‑year transformation. His leadership focused on stabilization, business readiness, governance integration, and restoring confidence in delivery.

Raffi holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Commerce from Carleton University, and he is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
