MyGCHR is coming soon!

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Parks Canada will transition to MyGCHR in June 2026.

MyGCHR is the Government of Canada's standard Human Resources Management System, currently used by 62 organizations in the federal public service. This upgrade from PeopleSoft 8.9 to MyGCHR (PeopleSoft 9.2) will enable Parks Canada to improve the efficiency of its Human Resources processes.

In the coming months, you will receive additional information and be provided with learning opportunities to familiarize yourself with MyGCHR and be ready to use it next June.

Effective immediately, the current leave management system will no longer accept entries for a leave with a From Date after June 28, 2026, to protect the integrity of the information in the system in preparation for the integration to MyGCHR.

Required actions

  • All employees: Continue to submit leave requests with a From Date no later than June 28 in the current system. Submit and save in your file your leave requests that are after June 28, since they will have to be submitted in MyGCHR.
  • Managers: Maintain records for leave requests that begin after June 28 for future input in MyGCHR.
