Announcement: New Employee Network & GCWCC Co-Champions
Dear colleagues,
I would like to share a few important updates regarding leadership roles that support diversity, inclusion, and engagement at Parks Canada.
Patrick Boucher, Vice-President, Real Property and Assets, will assume the role of Co-Champion for the Indigenous Employee Community Network. I thank him for his commitment and am confident his leadership will meaningfully support Indigenous voices and priorities.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Nadine Spence, Vice-President, Indigenous Stewardship and Cultural Heritage, for her outstanding contribution as Co-Champion of the Indigenous Employee Community Network for almost five years.
Nadine will continue to advance inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility at Parks Canada as she becomes the Co-Champion of the Employees with Disabilities Network, taking over from Darlene Upton who brought leadership and dedication to this role for several years prior to her departure from Parks Canada.
Finally, I am also pleased to announce that Rawan El-Komos, Vice-President, Human Resources and Employee Wellness, and Melanie Kwong, Vice-President, Strategic Policy, Business and Digital Services, will serve as Co-Champions for the 2026 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign.
I invite you to consult the most up‑to‑date list all Parks Canada Champions. I extend my sincere thanks to each of them for their ongoing commitment and for their contributions to making Parks Canada a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
