Introducing Microsoft Teams Phone (Softphones) Across Parks Canada
The Government of Canada is modernizing how the public service makes and receives calls by transitioning from physical desk phones to making calls through Microsoft Teams Phone (Softphone) on your computer.
What does this mean for you?
You now have a fully activated softphone in Microsoft Teams. No installation, setup, or action is required. Your new phone number and dial pad are already available under the Calls tab of Microsoft Teams.
Key benefits
- One system for everything: Calling, messaging, and meetings will all be in one place (Microsoft Teams), simplifying your work.
- Work from anywhere: As long as you’re signed into Teams, you can make and receive calls from any location.
- Unlimited calls: Includes unlimited calling across Canada and the United States of America, voicemail, caller ID, call forwarding, call park/retrieve, shared lines and 911 calling.
- Support environmental sustainability: Reduce electronic waste and hardware dependency.
