Indigenous Employee Training Fund Launch

We are pleased to announce that Parks Canada is once again offering the Indigenous Employees Training Fund (IETF) for the 2025–26 period. All eligible employees can apply today!

Who can apply?

The IETF is open to Indigenous Parks Canada employees, who are:

  • Indeterminate (seasonal or full-time), or
  • Term over 3 months, with learning activities to be completed during the period of employment

Please note: Parks Canada executive-level employees and students are not eligible to apply.

When are applications accepted and what is the deadline? 

📝 Applications are accepted starting May 26th, 2025.

⏰ Applications must be received by June 20th, 2025. *

*Applications received after the established deadline will be put on a waiting list.

  • Funding Limit: Applicants may be funded to a maximum of $5,000.
  • Eligible Learning Activities: The IETF supports cultural learning and career development activities.
