Parks Canada Agency's Administrative Burden Baseline: Update 2025
The Administrative Burden Baseline provides Canadians with a clear metric on the total number of requirements in federal regulations and associated forms that impose administrative burden on business. This baseline contributes to the openness and transparency of the federal regulatory system.
All federal regulations administered by Parks Canada that have requirements that impose administrative burden on business are identified below. The total 2025 count is 840.
The change in 2025 Administrative Burden Baseline count is 10 more than the 2023-2024 count of 830. The change is due to the addition of the National Parks of Canada Land Use Planning Regulations, which repealed 4 outdated regulations and introduced new forms when it came into force.
