Restricted Activity: Trail bicycling

WHAT: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
Trail bicycling is prohibited in Yoho National Park, except on paved roads, and trail segments, listed below.
Note: All off-trail bicycling, and all activities associated with building and maintaining trails by unauthorized persons are PROHIBITED.
WHERE: Yoho National Park
EXCEPTIONS: Trail segments where trail bicycling is PERMITTED. See list below.
1. Great Divide (Old 1A Hwy): From the Lake O'Hara Road/Trans Canada Highway to Lake Louise Drive in Banff National Park.
2. Tally Ho Trail: From the Trans Canada Highway, 1 km west of Field, to Emerald Lake Road.
3. Kicking Horse Trail: From Natural Bridge to Otterhead River.
4. Otterhead Trail: From Otterhead Trail junction, on the Kicking Horse Trail, up to the Tocher Ridge junction.
5. Ottertail Trail: From the Trans Canada Highway to McArthur Warden Cabin.
6. Emerald River Trail: From Kicking Horse Trail to Emerald Lake.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
