For the area (3.2 km radius) around Dixon “Y” road junction

Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, access to the following area is restricted to vehicle traffic only on designated roadways. Vehicle access is only permitted from 1.5 hours after sunrise to 1.5 hours before sunset*. Stopping or hiking in this area is not permitted at any time.

*except for agricultural operations.

WHY:

To minimize disturbance to imperiled populations of Sage-Grouse during the spring breeding period.

April 1 – May 30
