What:

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following trail is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:
Sections of Fort to 5 Trail (unofficial trail)

Where:

"Fort to 5 Trail" (unofficial trail) from Old Fort Point south to Highway 93. Includes area from the Athabasca River east towards Trail 9c/9 (see accompanying map).

Why:

Wildlife activity in this area cannot be disturbed by human presence.

Penalty:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25,000.
