Parks Canada reminds visitors and residents that hunting is not authorized and the use of firearms is strictly prohibited in Rouge National Urban Park.

Public safety is Parks Canada’s top priority. Unauthorized hunting and firearm use pose significant safety risks to visitors, tenants, and neighbouring communities. Anyone found contravening the Rouge National Urban Park Act may face charges.

Parks Canada monitors conditions in the park and works closely with law enforcement partners to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Visitors are asked to:

• Respect all signage and follow the direction of on-site staff.
• Stay on designated trails.
• Report any suspected hunting activity or safety concerns to Parks Canada Dispatch at 1-877-852-3100 or contact local authorities.
