What:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

Where: All trails located south of and including Peyto Pit Road and a small section of Coastline, Wagon and Peyto trails to the North of Peyto Pit Road. The west extent of the closure begins at The Head-to-Toe and Teddy Bears Picnic junction and includes all The Toe trails located to the east.

Why: For the safety of visitors and the public during mechanical forest thinning, burning and log hauling operations.

Penalty: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
