WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: All trails located south of and including Peyto Pit Road and a small section of Coastline to the North of Peyto Pit Road.  The west extent of the closure begins at the trailheads for Hoodoos Interpretive and Tunnel Bench Loop located at the Hoodoos Day Use Area as well as the Hoodoos Interpretive/Tunnel Bench Loop Junction.

WHY: For the safety of visitors and the public during mechanical forest thinning, burning and log hauling operations.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
