Parks Canada’s reservation service has moved to an updated platform and visitors will now need to sign up for a new user account to make camping reservations at Newfoundland and Labrador’s national park campgrounds.

• On March 18, 2023, reservations for long-term campsites at Newman Sound in Terra Nova National Park will open at 8:30 a.m. NT.
• On March 31, 2023, reservations for all other Parks Canada campsites, including backcountry sites, in Terra Nova and Gros Morne National Parks will open at 8:30 a.m. NT.

If you have a previous user account on the Parks Canada Reservation Service, you will need to set up a new user account once the service has moved to the new platform starting on March 3. Older account information will not be transferred to the new system so previous booking histories will not be available. The ideal time to set up a new account is between March 3 and March 12, or at minimum the day before the launch date in which you are interested.

On the launch date, thirty minutes prior to reservations opening at 8:30 a.m., any visitors who are already navigating the reservation website, as well as new users joining the website, will be directed to a waiting page. Visitors who are on that waiting page are randomly assigned a place in a queue (a virtual line-up). The order is determined randomly and is not based on how long users have been on the website up to that point. Visitors who arrive later than 8:30 a.m. are placed at the back of the queue. When visitors reach their turn, they will be alerted via an on-screen message. At that point, they have 30 minutes to proceed to the reservation website.

Visitors can also make reservations on or after the launch dates by calling 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783) or 1-519-826-5391 outside of North America.
