Restricted Activity: Equine use in specified areas and trails

What: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
Equine Use, Travel and Transport on specified areas and trails (seasonal).
When: Seasonal, from April 1 to November 1, annually.
Where: The following areas and trails:
- Lake Louise Lakeshore Trail
- Lake Agnes Trail: From the junction of the Lake Louise Lakeshore Trail to the junction of the Lake Agnes Bridal Path (horse trail)
- Plain of Six Glaciers Hikers Trail (km 4.8-6.1)
- Moraine Lake Lakeshore Trail
- Moraine Lake Rockpile Trail
- Paradise Valley Trail: Beyond the Paradise Valley Campground, Giant Steps trail junction
- Parkers Ridge Trail
- Areas and trails adjacent to Lake Louise as identified in the attached map.
Penalty: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
