Prohibited activity: Firewood
Issued: February 12, 2025
Pursuant to subsection 2(1)(a)(ii) of the Trespass to Property Act, the following activity is hereby prohibited by the Superintendent of Bruce Peninsula National Park:
- The possession and use of firewood not supplied by Bruce Peninsula National Park, or our verified firewood suppliers.
- The collection and use of forest material from within the Park.
The purpose of this is to prevent the introduction of invasive forest species and keep the park forests healthy.
Persons contravening this prohibited activity may be subject to prosecution under the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario; maximum fine $10,000 and/or eviction from Parks Canada property.
