Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is closed to all public traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent, Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada:

Where: All Parks Canada administered lands on Sidney Island (refer to the attached map)

When: From November 1st, 2025 until February 28, 2026 (inclusive)

All Parks Canada administered lands on Sidney Island will be closed for public safety reasons to facilitate First Nations hunting during this time period. Mooring buoys will remain open, however there will be no visitor access to the beaches, day use areas, washrooms or dock facilities.

Contravention of this order may result in fines or prosecution pursuant to the Canada National Parks Act.
