In search of Morix!
La Mauricie National Park
Have you ever heard of the Morix? No?! That's surprising, because long ago, families from all over the world came to La Mauricie National Park to play with him. This fluffy, energetic ball of fur was the star of the park! There was even a campground named after him, but that was long before the Rivière-à-la-Pêche campground was created.
Then, one day, a family of foxes settled right next to his campsite, charming visitors with their cute fox cubs.
Jealous of the attention that the foxes were getting, the Morix chose to go hide in the depths of his hut, and no one has seen him since.
Your mission: to find the Morix!
If you are together as a family, go behind the Rivière-à-la-Pêche Service Centre and take the Family Trail (#11). This easy 4 km loop is perfect for short legs.
As you walk, you will come across 5 fun challenges. Each of them will bring you closer to Morix and his fabulous and forgotten world.
Allow approximately 1.5 hours to complete the mission.
