Trails in the Rivière à la Pêche sector

The Rivière à la Pêche Service Centre is the starting point for a 50-km network of hiking trails, offering many majestic vistas. You’ll be delighted by the landscape of hills, coniferous and deciduous forests, lakes, streams and rivers!

Lac Édouard Beach

The Lac Edouard Picnic Area is a summer activity paradise! There’s a large sandy beach, a children’s playground, mini soccer nets, a volleyball court, a trailhead and a boat and equipment rental centre.

Waber Falls

This all-day adventure covers more than 9 km on the water and over 7 km of hiking to see the spectacular Waber Falls! Start at the Wapizagonke Picnic Area, where there is a boat and equipment rental centre.

The Cascades

The Shewenegan Picnic Area is the perfect place to have fun with the kids! You can cool off in the Cascades or at the beach on Wapizagonke Lake, eat at the pizzeria, rent a boat or go hiking.

Saint-Maurice Lookout

A short walk leads to a stunning view of the Saint-Maurice River, surrounded by forests and mountains. Seize the opportunity to admire the region’s natural beauty in peace and quiet.

Lac Bouchard Picnic Area

It’s the perfect spot to eat your lunch, soak up the sun or take a dip from the cobble beach. Don’t miss the little waterfall cheerfully cascading down nearby!

Vide-Bouteille Lookout

This magnificent lookout sits along a boardwalk. The giant red chair is an ideal spot to take a selfie and sit back to contemplate the inspiring scenery.

Île-aux-Pins Lookout

At the very bottom of the stairs is a breathtaking view of Wapizagonke Lake! At a length of 16 km, it’s the longest lake in the park, with a narrow, winding shape like a river.

At the Shewenegan Picnic Area, you can cross the iconic “M” bridge, cool off in the rushing water of the Cascades and take a short, easy hike.

Lac Bouchard Picnic Area

It’s a peaceful place to eat, paddle, swim, do yoga and meditate. Discover the natural beauty of Bouchard Lake!

Lac du Fou

You can admire lac du Fou from the dock, or walk along its shores on a lovely, easy 3-km trail. La Cache Trail leads to a viewing blind.

Alphonse Lake

This lake is a well-kept secret in the park! You can enjoy a picnic in the undergrowth under the cedars and dip your feet in the water at the end of the dock.

Lac Gabet Trail

This 3-km round trip trail winds through a maple grove and mountains to reach picturesque Gabet Lake. A bench on the shore invites you to take a break.

Esker Picnic Area

This site’s charm lies in its simplicity! Explore small beaches and a dock along Wapizagonke Lake, as well as La Tourbière Trail, featuring orchids and carnivorous plants.
