Remembering life before the creation of Forillon National Park

Forillon National Park

"Gaspesians from Land's End" Exhibition Update

The Board of Directors of the Association of Persons Expropriated from Forillon and their Descendants and Parks Canada want to add new content to the "Gaspesians from Land's End" permanent exhibition at the Dolbel Roberts House. The objective is to keep this exhibition, which helps visitors learn more about the episode of expropriation of families living in the area at the time of the park's creation, as vivid, representative and memorable as possible.

Are you an expropriated person or a descendant of a family that was expropriated during the creation of Forillon National Park? Would you like to tell us what life was like in your community, family or workplace before the park was created? Do you have photos, videos or documents that you would like to share to convey these moments? It's time to share them. They could appear on the interactive terminal for the expropriated landowner with whom this content is associated. It should be noted that each expropriated landowner has a dedicated interactive terminal in the exhibition. This interactive terminal is associated with the landowner's lot number and can receive new content, including archives (photos, videos, other documents) from family or friends.
