Riding Mountain National Park
Restricted activity - Fishing Equipment, Inflatables, Wetsuits

What:
Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
- Mandatory inspections and Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit
All fishing equipment, inflatables or wetsuits must complete a Parks Canada inspection and possess a valid seasonal Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit to enter Riding Mountain National Park waters. - Two permit system for non-motorized watercraft
Visitors must choose to use fishing gear, inflatables or wetsuits on Clear Lake or outlying lakes such as Lake Audy, Moon Lake, Lake Katherine, Whirlpool Lake, Grayling Lake, and Deep Lake in Riding Mountain National Park. Movement between Clear Lake and outlying lakes and rivers of Riding Mountain National Park is not permitted. - Clean, Drain, Dry
Pursuant to the Manitoba Aquatic Invasive Species Regulations, Clean Drain Dry equirements are in effect for all watercraft and water-related equipment.
“Fishing equipment” means: fishing rods, tackle, waders, wading boots, gloves, nets, or any other type of fishing equipment that comes into contact with water or animal material.
“Inflatables” means: air-filled rafts, docks, or other floating structures that support more than one person.

For the prevention of temporary danger to persons, flora, fauna, or natural objects, including public safety.
Note:
Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum Penalty $25,000
